I miss my Mommy. (I guess pandemics have a way of doing that.)

So, on this 4th year without her, instead of just lighting a candle in her honor, I said this little prayer:

“Dear Mom, could you please give me a sign that you’re with me? I wish it could be a dragonfly. But I know it’s probably too cold for them now. So, just do the best you can. I love you.”

And would you believe

My husband Will, (who knew nothing about my morning prayer), actually sent me the above photo from his walk along a hilly road near our house.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. Now, c’mon. If that isn’t a dragonfly, I don’t know what is.

(My mom was always very creative but this time she outdid herself.)

But that’s just the half of it.

Later that day, I went for my own walk in a more bucolic setting. Hoping that a real dragonfly might magically appear.

Well, that didn’t happen. But look what did! Right there on a tree trunk, clear as day.

Now, I know there are plenty of non-believers who would say, “Oh, you just saw what you wanted to see.”

But in my experience, the more you believe, the more there is to see.

Ask and you shall receive.

The best things in my life have definitely come through asking. But here’s the thing:

When we ask the Universe for our heart’s desires, we have to be willing to let go of the details. (You may want to read that last line again and let it really sink in.)

Our prayers are not always answered in the way we expect them to be.

For instance, I was hoping for a “real dragonfly.” And yet, my mother’s (and Mother Nature’s) creativity was even more magical than I imagined.

It’s like when you go out to a restaurant (remember those?) You place your order but you don’t go into the kitchen and tell the chef how to cook it. We need to allow time and space for the chef, (and in this case, the Universe), to work their magic.

Do you have trouble asking?

Many of us feel uncomfortable asking for what we want. Maybe you don’t know what to ask for. Or how.

Maybe that negative bullying voice inside you is saying “You expect too much.” Or “Who do you think you are, anyway?”

Over time, I’ve cultivated a gift for asking and receiving. It’s how I found my soulmate husband of 34 years. My dream house in Ojai. And so many other blessings in my life.

And now, I’m looking forward to sharing some manifesting magic with you:

Just ask. And you’ll receive a free Uplifting Gifting from me.

My gift to you is a 15-minute phone call to help you identify what to ask for and some higher guidance to help you receive it.

If your heart is saying “yes” to this opportunity, then contact me and I’ll set up a time for us to talk.

There’s a lot of muck out in the world. So, let’s see what magic we can create from within.
