I wrote this poem for Thanksgiving.
But read it any time you could use a big heaping portion of gratitude.


Thanks for life’s joys
And also the oy’s.
The blues and the blahs, 
The bliss and ah-hahs.

Thanks for the angst,
The fill-in-the blanks—

The yearning, the churning
And all that damn learning.

Thanks for the beauty and beast
Of this movable feast—-
Though far from utopia,
Bless the whole cornucopia.

With a heart full of gratitude and wishes
for a most magical Thanksgiving,
